Coolmore Foods, a privately owned business was established in 1988, making premium speciality cakes, muffins and pies.
We began as a farmhouse bakery producing cakes in the family Aga cooker at our farmhouse home in West Cork, Ireland. Our range of high quality confectionery was originally supplied to restaurants in Kinsale, the gourmet capital of Ireland. As the Business flourished we decided to adapt our products for the multiple retail trade, targeting the growing cake and convience food market. Our products are now sold through out Ireland, UK and Scandinavia. We are the leading Irish producer in this category. The company has developed rapidly by successfully maintaining “home bake “ quality, combined with innovative packaging and a heavy commitment to new product development.
We operate from a new 20,000 foot state of the art facility. We have a comprehensive HACCP programme is in place to guarantee our products are to the highest standards and our staff are all trained to ensure manufacturing best practice is adhered to at all times. EFSIS/BRC at the higher level has recently been obtained. Equipment has been installed to allow larger scale production. As a result, significant extra production capacity now exists to meet the demands of future customers.
Our production facility is a G.M.O. free site. The Coolmore Foods brand is now well established in Ireland as a company synonymous with unique quality products, combined with attractive labeling and innovative packaging.
